What we do

1. Initial meeting

A no-charge initial consultation is used to determine if we are a good fit for your needs. In this meeting we will learn what your accounting needs, more about your business goals and come up with a plan to meet them.

2. Dedicated team

Our customer engagement manager and dedicated bookkeeping team will assist you in determining which services best meet your needs and will work with you to get the information needed to get started.

3. Execution

Our team will prepare monthly profit and loss statements, a balance sheet, and cash flow statements on a timely basis. Additional custom reports can be prepared upon request. We can provide catch up services if your bookkeeping has fallen behind.

4. Results

When you have MatchBooks on your team, you can concentrate on your business while we prepare your financials. You will have regular interaction with us and will have the information for your banker, tax preparer and others when you need it.

Meet the team

Claudia Nimar

President

Claudia Nimar is the former president and co-founder of a technology company that was sold in 2019 after 25 years. She is also a board member, advisor and board chair of many non-profits including VIPS volunteers in education, Cape Cod Theatre Project, Pennikees Island, Friends of Nobska Light, Community Health,Concord Players Group. and advisory board member Historic Highfield Hall. Her expertise is in fundraising and improving operational issues. She is available for consultation.

Joel Nimar

Consultant

Joel Nimar is a serial entrepreneur and advises company owners and senior management on improving business processes, expansion, financial management, buying and selling the company, and solutions to challenging opportunities. He has served on several boards including treasurer of Cape Cod Theatre Project, Governance Chair of Historic Highfield Hall, and Treasurer and Vice President of Open Table a food pantry feeding over 300 people per week. He is available for consultation. 

Jonathan Korb, JD, MST

Advisory Board Member

Jonathan is an estate and trust tax attorney with over twenty-five years of experience advising trustees, executors, high net worth individuals and corporate boards with regards to tax, compliance and corporate governance matters. Jonathan is also co-founder of a company that serves non-profits.

Fred Hare

Controller/ Non Profit Consultant

With more than 36 years’ experience, Fred is a well-respected and highly knowledgeable professional in the finance arena.

His expertise lies in non-profit accounting, having served as the Director of Administration and Finance at Martha’s Vineyard Community Services and contributing to various boards, including Highfield Hall and other nonprofits.

Throughout his career, Fred has consistently demonstrated his ability to deliver exceptional results, making him an invaluable asset to MatchBooks’ clients in an advisory role.
In his spare time, Fred likes to golf, hike and travel.
